nevermind why anyone would want to...

MS sys reqs say 2GB HD w/ 1GB free space...

it's not going to actually be a server, i need it to test some beta software for work...

The OS should only take up about 1 gig of space so you should be fine space wise. It won't be fast but, that doesn't seem to be what you are looking for so...

yeah i know W2K virtual memory management is diff... but have never used it before...

the only reason i want to do it on that small a drive is cuz i can get it for $15 shipped...

the program itself needs 550 MB of available hard disk space minimum...

when I install Adv Server will it give me a lot of options as to what to install? (i can do without most of it)

will it take up less space? i just chose advanced cuz that's what they're running it on at work...

oh, i also need to install service pack 1...

Yes, it will work... 🙂

I'm running Win2k Adv Server on a petty 1GB HD right now. I still had room to load Perl, MySQL, PHP, and about 100MB/s of Webspace. I'm getting a 4.3GB HD just to use for webspace, but the 1GB works pretty good for just the OS 😛.

I find it funny that you guys have the hardware (cpu & ram) required to run adv server but barely enough hardrive space!
