The error I am having is an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. 0x0000000A This indicates a driver issue but the driver that caused it is not listed in the BSOD. I have set windows to write out the memory.dmp file so I can debug that file and read what caused the error. I have done this many times in the past and it has worked great. This situation is different as the memory.dmp file does not get written at all even though the BSOD indicated that it is dumping memory to file and that it completes. When I go back in to windows to get that file it is not there. It wont write the dmp file, I tried kernel and minidump and no luck. OS is XP pro. Page file is 2GB.

Jev,

Please give the details of your system.
Have you recently updated a driver that may be suspicious?

i have not updated any drivers as i am not aloowed to due to the work enviroment im in. I just get to fix it when it breaks. I know it is a driver of some sort but being in the position i am in i have no control over when the updates may happen as they are controlled by the guys who designed the image we deploy. the computer works and randomly BSOD and then sometimes will got for a day or so with no issues. The issue im having simply has to do with the fact that the memory.dmp file is not getting written when the OS BSODs. if i can get that file to be written like on every other computer i have worked on i can debugg that file and send the results to the guys who updates the drivers so they can fix the issue at its root. I didnt have enough time to actually figure this one out as the user whos computer it is needs it back so i just reimaged it. It a HP dc5100 incase you want to look into it some more.

Thanks for the update.

I'm assuming the BSOD went away after the re-image. :)
