My CPU is getting overheated very quickly and I don't know why. I'm using the stock heatsink and fan and I have been using it for the past two years without problems, despite a 215 overclock. Now, even at the stock settings its overheating. I suspect the thermal pad has degraded so I'm figuring I might as well beef up my cooling.

My question:
I have an Abit IS7-G motherboard and an Intel P4 3.4. What is the best fan and heatsink combo...don't want to get into water cooling yet. I've looked at the big Zalmans, but they won't fit my case and mobo combo. Anything else? Cost is no problem. I have a Supermicro server case

Thermalright xp90 or 90c. One of the best aircoolers out there.

I used a Zalman 7000 AlCu on an IS7 with a 3.2C @ 3.6 in an Antec Sonata and everything fit and ran rather cool.
