I bought my speakers less than 10 months ago online from AT FS/T and now it seems like they are going bad. I talked to Klipsch and they have no problem replacing the speakers for me but they will need a copy of a receipt dated no more than 1 year ago just as protocol before they can service me. It made me so sad to hear the Klipsch start to die, but I desparately need your help!!!

Please PM me if you can help.

Sorry, the only person who can give you an original reciept for something you bought on our forums is the person who sold it to you. Anything else could be construed as fraud.

this would add more to the shadyness...

but you could buy a new pair of Klipsch Promedia 2.1's, leave the box closed, make a photocopy of the receipt, return it to wherever you got it, and send the photocopy in along with your damaged speakers.

if they are going bad seems like klipsch is at fault. Is it just me or does anyone out there consider putting out a bad product fraud? I expect to buy speakers that will work for more than 10 lousy months when I do, doesn't seem like much to ask, receipt or not.

The speakers have a warranty. The warranty has terms. Who knows what they went through before being sold on FS/FT? You want a warranty, buy retail. Otherwise, shut your piehole.

I'm sorry, but "aight" is only to be spoken by someone of Martin Lawrence-level or lower grammatical ability.

I just think that its should be a company's responsibility to put out a good product. If the receipt had been provided by the seller on fs/ft would things really be so much different? How hard is it for a company to stand behind their product no matter what? They SHOULD fix it, or replace it, even though they won't, that's all i'm saying.

And I'm saying that for all anyone knows they were kicked, dropped, and used as doorstops by the previous owners.

but if the previous owner had passed on the receipt they'd still be returnable, so what difference does that make?

Only if the first guy had them less than 2 months, and only if they failed due to defects. Improper use, abuse, shipping damage, etc. are not covered.

Assuming the guy had them for less than two months, i doubt that either abuse or shipping damage would show. Anyway, how could abuse/shipping damage from 10 months ago cause the speakers to fail so much later after the fact?
