Ok so I have a some what dated rig, but I can still play all the games I try to play (HL2, Farcry, CS:Source) but I of course have to turn down the settings pretty good. I want to overclock my Processor (the weakest link in my rig) so I need you help.

Specs:
AMD Athlon 2500+
A7N8E Deluxe
nVidia 6600 GT
1 Gig pc-3200

What are some suggestions for cooling to be able to overclock the athlon to a 3200+? Right now all I have is stock cooling for everything. I'm willing to spend 30-40 bucks if I cant do it for that cheap then I dont think its worth it.

Well, I don't think your processor whats holding you back. Maybe for BF2, but the 2500 was an awesome processor. I easily got my old 2500 to 2.2ghz. 40 bucks may or may not give adequate cooling. You need great airflow and a super sweet cooler fan. I'll find one for you...

Depends on what socket your processor is...but i'd go with Zalman.

I cooled my 3200+ with this bad boy click here . Even that didn't do a great job when I raised voltage. Watch your temps, thats all i'm saying..

Ok thanks a lot man. Are you saying that I would need to upgrade the fans on my case too? I would be willing to do that for more than $40 since I will most likely keep this case while I continue to upgrade. If you want to do some more research for me what are some good case fans? I have read many threads about case fans, but I dont know if they are more or less than what I need (I'm a case/cooling noobie).

Thanks for the help.
