Need Comments on a new system

I have been out of loop for a while, but I need a system mainly for Photoshop processing, DVD watching, Software Development and occasional gaming. Can anyone give me some suggestions? Thanks!

Go with an intel core 2 duo processor... AMD's dual cores aren't up to intel's right now.
