Lost my digital camera somewhere a couple weekends ago and need a replacement. Want to spend around $150.00 which should get us a nice 10 + MP camera with image stabilization, adjustable ISO, decent zoom, etc.

Suggestions before I look at dpreview?

The Panasonic LX5 has been out for a while so maybe the LX3 has come down in price, perhaps you can get one refurbished for 150.

Depending on how important zoom is, you may want to check out the Canon SX150IS, which has 12X optical zoom. Now that Canon is coming out with the 160, the 150s are on sale for $150 pretty much everywhere.

One of these:

Used or refurb. (I recommend refurb, from a reputable seller).

Seriously, I dont think you are going to get a good, new camera for a mere 150. Maybe join DPreview and ask them.

IIRC, that ELPH 300 HS has just a 2.7" screen. I bought a Canon factory refurb 100 HS (with 3" screen) a few weeks ago off Amazon for under $100 shipped and am completely pleased with it. It seemed that the seller just had one at the time and I happened to look at the right time. Canon's site has refurbs for a little more, maybe $20 more.

The 110 HS last I checked was running around $180 new off Amazon, has 24mm wide angle (my 100 HS has 28mm), and 460,000 pixel 3" screen vs. 230,000 for my 100 HS, so it's a nicer camera. You might find a refurb at Canon for $150, I'm thinking.

I'm seeing ELPH 300 HS's selling for $138 and 100 HS's for $108 (these are before shipping charges) at Canon's website:
