Need CB radio suggestions

I do a lot of interstate driving and I would like to pick up a CB radio. Definitely don't want any sort of permanent unit, and no permanent antenna. I'd like something I can keep stored away under a seat until I get stuck in a big traffic jam or whatever, at which time I can pull it out and get an idea of what's going on. Any suggestions on brands and/or specific models? I'd be up for buying something used on eBay. Really don't want to spend too much on this. Thanks!

I have an idea... How about an old 40 channel Realistic CB walkie talkie? I'll bet that you can find one like a TRC-217 for $10 on eBay. They run on 8 or 10 rechargeable AA batteries, or a 12V car adapter. If you need a bit more range (I think that I averaged 5 miles transmitting with mine when talking to truckers, but could receive broadcasts from farther than that), get a collapsible CB antenna with a magnetic mount to stick on your roof.

Not sure what kind of 'tenna it uses, but K40 mag mounts and Wilson 1000 mag mounts give great ears and talk power. The Wilson will handle lots of heat if you want to run a large footwarmer. :)

Just go to a truck stop and pick one up. I have a cheap one with a magnetic antenna that I use. You'll get tired of listening to illiterate truckers pretty fast, but it's good to avoid some bottlenecks.

I'm partial to my Wilson 1000 mag mount antenna, but then again, it's not known for great portability. ;) I also have a Cobra CB (I'm really surprised that I can't think of the model number), and they're a great combo. That said, when I took it out of my old car, I put it in storage. For the most part, IMO, it's a waste of space.
