I remember a thread a while back saying that the Solstice was selling for several thousand about MSRP because of its popularity. If you do find it at retail though, I think you can get one loaded out at $24k. And if you like the Solstice, check out the new MX-5 (3rd gen Miata) too.
If you need something a little more practical (a.k.a. more room, back seats, better gas mileage), I'd go for the Mazda3 hatch/sedan or Civic coupe/sedan, depending on your tastes. With a few options added, should be $19k-20k.
Edit: I'd agree with the others here that it doesn't really sound like you need a new car and you're probably best sticking it out for at least a couple more years with what you have. But hey, its your money - just thought I'd throw a few suggestions in the mix.
