Need BIOS help.

I have a SY-KT333 DRAGON Ultra (Platinum Edition). Today I downloaded the BIOS update to fix the problem with the T-bred CPUs. The BIOS update was called kxbp2aa6.zip
Bios Revision 2AA6 for the SY-KT333 DRAGON Ultra (Platinum Edition).

I followed the instructions and installed them. Now my monitor doesnt even get a signal and is just a black screen ( i cant see anything). But the computer itself turns on.

Ooooooooh, but luckily, your mobo has a replacable BIOS chip

Order a new one from soyo.

They dont cost that much.

some bios makers have a way to reflash, for example i rescued an otherwise dead AMI board before by renaming the bios file as amiboot.rom, sticking in the floppy and switching on - bios flashed itself and all was ok The engineer of the mobo maker didnt know it, but someone either here or at THG forum did

If the floppy LED comes on during startup, i reckon theres a 50:50 chance there is some way to solve it without getting a new BIOS chip - finding out how is the hard bit though.

I have had that happen out of the blue without even trying to flash the bios. One time putting the case cover on with a little too much static electricity. Usually a cmos reset resolved it.
