Stuff like System of a Down, KMFDM and so on.. any other bands out there that are outwardly anti-war in their lyrics?

Linkin Park has a song on their Minutes to Midnight album called "Hands Held High".

So you want outwardly anti-current war? Or just extremely political bands. Rage Against the Machine was a large culprit of that.
Pick any true hardcore or punk band and they will likely have quite a few song choices that are heavily politicized.
Do you care about Green Day? Well new stuff? Old stuff IS good and is also very political, but only their most recent album has anti this war stuff.

eminem and linkin park both have anti-war songs. there's a whole cd (or more) called rock or punk against bush, probably has some anti-war stuff on it.

Yeah, bands like RATM are what I'm looking for to.

Old and new is fine. Vietnam, Serbia, Kosovo.. anyone with lyrics pointed towards stopping American imperialism is fine..

You want me to post for anti-war music in P&N? I figured I'd get more music junkies here.
Unless you're just being dumb about it.

Tool's 'Right in Two' from '10,000 Days' has been stuck in my head for quite some time now. I'm just starting to listen to their albums so I'm not familiar with their other songs.

NOFX, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Bad Religion, Incubus (well, there's that one anti-Bush song, at least), Green Day, Against Me!, Alkaline Trio, Foo Fighters, Dropkick Murphys, The Lawrence Arms, Pennywise, Social Distortion

...hmm- if you want to REALLY go back: The Beatles, John Lennon, The Rolling Stones are all I'm coming up with right now. Someplace to start, I suppose.

edit: oooh, and another of my favorites: A Perfect Circle.
edit2: oh, and Bob Dylan, of course.

My mouth actually just fell open. Go back to gaybashing people smaller than you. If you really can't appreciate the creative inspiration that comes from not wanting to kill human beings, then really: P&N is that way, troll.

I think you misread the title: he's looking for anti-war, not anti-American.

Reading is fun...damental.

well no actually he said anti-"American imperialism", so thats different than just anti-war

EDIT: also, Vietname, Seribia, and Kosovo are an interesting set to be your basis for "American Imperialsim"...

Agreed, I would've used Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan as better examples.

Lennon, Dylan, Cat Stevens come to my mind...

RATM was probably the last REAL politically inspired band.

Hmm. Only one comment for Anti-Flag. I guess they are just anti-fascism. They still should be helpful.
