Need anserer for Win 95 and JAVA

Does anyone know why we can't open JAVA applications in Windows 95 with IExplorer 5.0 installed? Does it have anything to do with DirectX? The settings for Java are all enabled and we even tryed to set secutity to low..

Try installing separately the Sun JRE or the Microsoft JRE. IE obviously works best with the Microsoft JRE, but I don't know if Microsoft is allowed to distribute their (incompatible) JRE anymore, now that Sun has won their Java court case against them.

Search for either one using google. Each package should be a 10 to 20 Meg download.

Not sure what you mean by JRE though, I should be able to figure it out.

You might try the latest build (3802) of the MS Virtual Machine for IE, which you can find here.

JRE is short for Java Runtime Environment, which more or less means Java Virtual Machine.
