I just got the bug bait....in the level right after that section, I'm on a beach, with the combine forces shooting from the towers...

what am i supposed to do? Help!
 
Use the bugs to attack the Combine in their towers. Throw the bait in the same area as the combine and the bugs will attack them for you.
 
RUN! Seriously. There are lots of rocks, run from rock to rock, eventually you can get close enough to knock out the people in the turret towers.
 
After throwing your bugs forward for distraction, there is a place you can storm between towers to get behind them and access their entrances.

It's sort of like D-Day in Medal of Honor.

Yeah, very much like that, except absolutely nothing like that at the same time.

Basically, don't stand still, don't try to fight, just throw your bugs everywhere and hop between cover.
 
throw the pherapods into the upper beach to distract the gunners in the towers, equip your magnum, and run forward from cover to cover. half way through you'll need to take out 3 or 4 overwatch. then you'll see an incline up the beach after that. again, use the bugbait to distract the gunners, and run up and take out the left tower gunner, then proceed through the tunnels.
