Need an outside eye on a connection issue between an android device and pc

I use ES File Explorer to view files on my desktop (8.1) from my tablet (android 5.1.1). For some odd reason I lost connectivity to the desktop, although I can see other PCs on my network just fine.

I checked the usual things:

Firewall (turned off to test)
Verified IP address (I'm able to ping the tablet from the PC)
Restarted all devices in the chain (router, tablet, pc)


I'm at a loss as to what may have changed. I can connect to the desktop from other PCs on the network, just not my android tablet.

Use this app to scan the LAN, it has ping/tracert tools too.

Ping the PC.
