Need an outside alarm system that will...

Hey guys, I am building a new house right next door to my current house, and I am having problems with people coming up to the house and stealing tools, and stuff. So I need an alarm system that is motion activated and will sound a bell or turn on a spotlight wirelessly and also notify me up in my other house somehow...

Does anybody know of any alarms that can do this, or something similiar...any help would be appreciated, right now I am open to any other ideas also...thanks

i think that there are plenty of motion detecting lights out there, i'm sure that you can rig some sort of bell/alarm to the circuit ^_^ i think you can pick up a bunch at your local hardware store.

Wouldn't it be easier to secure your tools in a shed or something?

Motion detector spotlights are cheap ( $15 or so )... & you can just tie in & run a wire to a door bell type buzzer or an alarm & a long wire up to your house... The motion detector spots can then be used for your drive later.

I have one hooked to a halogen spot ( another $10 at HomeDepot) that lights up the whole drive when a car pulls in.

If you want to get fancy you can wire a disposable flash camera to a solenoid triggered by the motion detector...
