Anyone know where I can find a good new socket motherboard at. There's one at newegg, but the reviews kind of scare me. Needs to have agp, ide, pc3200 compatability, etc. Don't want to spend to much. Any suggestions???

Not many new socket a boards left. I suggest you try the newegg one, unless you need sata. You can also check computer geeks or ebay.

The PC CHIPS M848A on Newegg should be fine, excepting some dud from the batch. Just be sure to check the position of the CMOS reset jumper before you power it up. ECS/PCCHIPS has a tendency to ship boards with the CMOS jumper in the 'reset' position, which needs to be moved to 'normal' (default) before use. I'm betting this is the reason for 10% of the negative reviews on Newegg.
