Are there any Im clients (MSN/Yahoo/AOL) out there that can be run from a thumb drive?

I don't want to install the software on my computer at work. Partly because I don't have my "own" machine. i deliver new computers and just use one of the new ones until it's time to give it to the user.

Thanks!

Not that I know of, but meebo.com is a multi-messenger client and it uses your internet browser.

thanks everyone I'll check those out. I'll have to see if the internet browser one will work out well.

Make sure you clear it with the I.T. staff. As a former IT-staff guy, I would be alerted if someone tried to do this on a system in my domain, and would have to put on my official Fun-Police Hat? and explain to them that they aren't allowed to bring in their own executables, no exceptions allowed. Further offenses would be brought up with HR.

If you are the I.T. staff, then of course carry on :D

meebo.com should be your best bet, providing that your network doesn't block it (like at the place I used to work).

Trying out Meebo right now. It works fine here! Thanks! As long as this works at my other office I won't bother with a thumb drive program.

And yes, I am one of the I.T. Staff guys :) I just don't want to have to uninstall an IM client on each computer that I use before I deliver them. I use one of the new laptops for a few weeks until the users show up to pick them up. My personal desktop is slow as hell compared to the brand new C2D laptops :)
