Need an idea for 2lbs of beans.

Long story short, I made about twice as much chili as i should have and bought 3x as many beans as I should have. Already soaked for a whole day, need to do something with them.

kidney beans btw
 
put them in the fridge for a week or two with a tight lid on them
open, salt and pepper to taste..serve cold

two weeks is better than one.
 
Baked beans. Alton Brown's recipe is actually really good. I would also recommend getting nice sugary maple+brown sugar bacon for it to give it a little more sweetness. Mmmmmmmmm.....
 
put them in the freezer, breaking the whole amount up into packages
that will last a day or 2 in the fridge.

if you do extended soaking (18 hours), freezing (12 hours), and low
temp cooking (hours & hours, don't run out of water), those evanescent
emanations from the Southern hemisphere will be but a memory.
