Need an excuse(s)

Long story short:

Moved down to college house, for some reason everyone either doesn't have a car, their car is broken, or they're having car troubles. I keep getting sob stories and people ask me to take them to work, take them to get food, take them to post office, etc... I want to help out friends and casual aqquantainces as much as the next guy but it's getting old and I need some good excuses for the future. No would work I suppose, but I don't want to be the guy that isn't welcome at parties because he's a dick.
