Need an advice for Pentium D 805 set up.

The observation on going for a dual 805 with a cheap mobo while waiting for what will stand out for the new AM2 socket (or a conroe based system?)made a lot of sense for me. This is my first built, I was originally going for an opteron 170 but now saving and best bang for the buck is what I am aiming for, and I can't stand my P3 anymore it is loooong overdue.
I am an occasional gamer, I do a lot of heavy downloading ,multitasking and learning photoshop and maya are my next projects.
What would be a motherboard-ram-cooling combination to go with the pentium D 805. I intend to learn overclocking or at least try to, with this system.
So far I purchased : Antec p 180, S12 600w,HIS x800 GTO,160gb IDE,160gb SATA and a dvd writer.
Any advice/suggestion is highly welcomed and thanked.

Well you'll definatly need very good cooling to get a decent OC, mine hits 57c @3.7ghz on water cooling. I suggest a Thermaltake Big Typhoon. Motherboard wise, it depends on your budget and what not. I have mine on a Gigabyte 8N-SLI which cost a little over $100. Is your video card PCIe or AGP?

Thanks stevty for replying.
I will go with the TBT , my graphic card is PCIe, this system is a transitory one so I will do the minimum possible investing on it , so a cheap moba but decent enough for overclocking is what I am looking for because I will end up buying another one anyhow along with the new cpu,and a recommendation for a ram that I could use later or will it be a different technology?
Thanks again.

The Asus P5LD2-VM should serve your purposes. For memory, I recomend getting 2 sticks of this PQI. I have that combination in a computer I put together for my parents and it works well.

Completely sorry for the blank posts , this is my first time in any forum,
Thanks stevty and 13 gigatons for the recommendations, I forgot to mention that I already purchased a soud blaster audigy zs, would it interfere with the nice sound settings on the P5lD2-VM? I am also concerned about flashing the bios with another cpu on this board since it is my first built and I want it to be as trouble-free as possible.
I tried to find a review for MSI 945P Neo2-F without luck any leads?
I would like to have a 2gb ram setting for this system because I would want to learn photoshop and maya as soon as possible would the PQI and corsair recommendations still stand for the 2 gb version?
@ thescreensavers: why Intel? Well good question.I was going AMD all the way until the article on this website suggested to consider the pricing and the bang for the buck of the 802 and wait for the AM2 market to show some winners and I need a new system right now.
Cheers

Yep, PQI or corsair are just fine for going 2GB as well. Your sound card will work fine with the motherboard as well.
