need an adapter to run printer on laptop

hi guys, i have an epson stylus photo ex inkjet printer which i want to connect to my new laptop (dell inspiron 6000) but the printer has a 25 pin plug which the laptop lacks. is there an adapter to let this thing plug into a usb or serial port?

You can buy a usb to parallel adapter but you may be better off simply getting a new printer.

exactly, when it comes to old inkjets, just replace them... new inkjets are like, what? $60 give or take? they will be USB, and print faster
