im not too sure on that one myself but i have heard that running speakers at the wrong impedance causes them to get too much power and could blow them

Ahh I see.... but the speakers wouldnt be running at the wrong impedance would they? it would be the deck... is it even possible to run a deck at a lower impedance than it is rated for, or does it harm it ?

SoundDomain.com is shifting hot deals into "overdrive!" Blaupunkt's Overdrive series 6x9" speakers take installation flexibility to a whole new level. These four-way drivers feature Blaupunkt's unique AIP aluminum injected plastic woofer cones, 1" midranges, and premium Mylar dome tweeters for a rich, natural sound. The real key feature of the Odx694 is its dual voice coil woofers. With 2 independent voice coils per woofer, you can wire these speakers to your head unit AND a separate subwoofer amplifier. Or, wire the voice coils together in parallel for a single 2 ohm load ? and get more power from your amp. It's like having a built-in subwoofer! Includes mounting hardware and grilles.

then it says a dual 4ohms

Im not quite sureI follow the whole dual voice coil thing yet
