Need AM3 M/B Advice

Guys, my 6 yr. old AMD Anthon 64X2 Dual Core processor system has statred to crawl. I mean crawl. I spend more time rebooting than I do computing. I've tried all the suggestions from my guru friends but I've decided to bite the bullet and build, what just probably will be my last one. My memory isn't as sharp as it once was and after this one, I'll start buying off the shelf like most do.

Since the last build, I've gotten away from the technical stuff. I need some help! I've already purchased the new case; a Cooler Master KKN5-GP HAF 932 Advance Full Tower. I've decided to go with the AMD 1100T Black Edition 6 core Socket AM3 for the processor. I've built three previous AMD powered boxes and they are still the least expensive. I'm retired and on a pension. I can't afford Intel.

Here's the catch. The C/M KKN5 case comes with USB 3.0 connectors for the case front. These 3.0 connectors have to be connected to 3.0 inboard headers. I cannot find a M/B that list a 3.0 internal header. All I've located that are AM3 only show 2.0 internal header connectors.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance

Wayne

The GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-USB3 AM3+ that you suggested only has USB 3.0 on the back panel. I need a Socket AM3 M/B that offers a USB 3.0 header hookup on the internal M/B for front USB 3.0's

Thanks anyway,

Wayne

dawp, thanks for the info. Just after I placed this post, I ran across the ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX info. Because of the 5 yr. warranty, and built in 8 core CPU future capability, I went ahead and bit the bullet. The best I could find it was $199 on eBay.

Thanks for all your help.

The sabertooth also tested out to have better sata and usb 3.0 transfers than some of the other 900 chipsets. I finally bought this mobo and am happy with it so far.

I think you'll be pleased with your choice if it's anything like my X58 version.

Why EBAY? newegg and microcenter both have the board in stock.
