need all the white to be black in this pic pixle by pixle

wrong forum - this is hardware

the obvious choice is photoshop - go to a local community college and ask in graphics dept. for someone to do it for you.

there must be a thousand other softwares that will do it, and i'm guessing paintshop pro is one

That's trivial with any number of tools. Ulead Photoimpact can be downloaded in a functional time-limited demo. So can Paintshop Pro (I think, at least that used to be the case).

More Progress

Is this okay so far? I know the S sorta looks like a 5 i'm gonna fix that soon.

You kinda colors part of his symbol on top black

What? Do you mean that the symbol is a circular thing? I didn't really toutch the symbol much.

There are grey rings there that you drew over in black

I'm looking as hard as i can at the original and I don't see any grey rings....

put it at about 200% zoom and move your head back or heck look at the original. I can see it on my CRT monitor

or waht might be esier is to make all the orange letters into blue and invert the colors to the backround is black and the letters are orange

Shouldn't your Logo's be vector not raster?

exactly what i was thinking. all logos i have ever worked on were/are vector, with raster it will never look perfect like it would with vector.

op - can you get a .ai, .eps or whatever freehand's file was? it would take 5mins if that in illustrator and look perfect, no offense to those that have been working on it, but raster art, like vector has it limits plain and simple.

You are asking the wrong question. but anywho.

Try doing a color replacement in photoshop. this lets you select all of the white only and change it.

EDIT:

Its not in vector mode? All logos should be vector, this allows resizing the logo at any given time and will stay sharp. This is why all logos are vector, because its used so often in different situations.

While I agree that all logos should be vector, that isn't the main problem with this request. The main issue is the JPEG artifacts.

Anyone know if ImageShack compresses further? The OP claims not to have a less-compressed version, but I'm wondering if it is really ImageShack's fault that all those artifacts are there.

Hi, Paint should have done the job for you. Did you zoom the pic? Zoomed, you would be in complet control. Hope this helps a bit, Jim
