I just upgraded to this OS last night. I did a clean sweep of my machine and did a fresh install. I installed sp1 for it and got all of my drivers going good. Now I'm trying to install the eval version of WinZip8.0 and I keep getting an error message preventing me from completing the install. Is this a common problem? Is there another good zip utility that will work better??

Thanks
JR.

basically what happened was, you created a user for your self while installing win2k. what you need to do is...log off from yourself, and log in as Administrator and use the password you specified when you installed win2k. that will give you full rights to the machine. then when youre done, log off again and log in as yourself. you can also just use the administrator as your default login so you dont have to go through this everytime you want to install software. just go into the crtl panel and go into users and make the admin user the default and choose the option that doesnt require you to enter a password.

good luck.
