Need Advise for Gaming Upgrade to BX motherboard

OK, so it's old and only has a FSB of 100 and SDRAM at that. But my BX mobo is all I have for a gaming platform with an Intel 900 MHz chip and 512mb of memory under Windows XP Pro.
So for flight sims and lots of eye candy turned on, do I upgrade my ancient TNT2 Ultra to a Radeon 8500 (drivers for XP) or to a new Nvidia Ti 4400???
Since flight sims are more CPU intensive, will one of these high powered video cards be "held back" by the CPU and mobo chipset?
All ears.

a Visiontek geforce 2 gts-v would be a great card for that system and dirt cheap at $42. otherwise geforce 3's are getting fairly cheap but I am using the visiontek on a P3 700@900 and it runs everything I have pretty well.

Can you overclock that setup? A new video card would be a nice upgrade. TNT2 is getting pretty old. You dont need to go all the way to a Ti4400. The GTS-V is a nice budget upgrade. Maybe a Ti200 or 8500 if you want to spend a little more.

definitely go with either an G3Ti200 or R8500 now that they're getting cheap. Dont bother with the 4400 since yur CPU wont allow you to see its true power. G2GTS for $50 is also a great budget upgrade.
