I have searched and read the various posts about processors and OCing, but I still cant make up my mind. I am very technically proficient, but havent gotten into OCing until now. I am trying to decide what procesor and heatsink would work for me with the following parts that I have.

I am looking to OC to 150-167 fsb with air cooling. Which processor do you recommend between these two (2.4B or 2.66) considering what I want to do??? Also, what heatsink/fan do you recommend???

My parts are:

Gigabyte GA-8INXP Dual DDR Board
Corsair PC3200 XMS Cas2 512MB (x2)
Radeon 9000 Pro for now. AGP/PCI will be locked on the mb. (In the future, Radeon 9700 Pro or the GForce FX when it is released)
(1) WD 120GB Special Edition HD
Antec TruePower 550W P.S.
(4) 80mm Case Fan (2 in and 2 out)
Cheiftec Aluminum Server Case

I appreciate all of your help and suggestions.

id probably get 2.26b or 1.8a
if you can find C1 stepping as well, those would be awesome

id probably get a gf3 ti or 8500 instead of the above.....

I already have the 9000 Pro. I have owned it for a while. I know it sucks, but I will be upgrading as soon as I see some benchmarks comparing the 9700 Pro and the G4 FX. Thanks for the ideas guys, keep them coming.

Do you think running a 167 FSB (on the 2.4B C1) is stable with air cooling???

Also, what heatsink and fan do you recommend???

AX-478 is easier to use, and of couse if you put a loud fan, it's goint to cool down anything you throw on it.
If you insist on Swiftech, they came out w/MCX 462-U, and it can be used on both P4 and Amd XP.
And yes, there are people running their 2.4g at 3g, but none can tell you chip will be for sure.
