Hello, I need suggestions on what I should do regarding my setup to play CSGO.

System Setup:
Q6600
Asus P5k Premium mobo
8 GB ram Reapers
1 TB HHD
Asus ENGTX 550 TI

With this setup I am getting 128+ fps but it drops to 60 or even 40 at times, if i am in somewhat of a Full server. I am looking to change my video card but I dont know if its what I should change. I am not looking to build a new PC. Thank you.

You're probably more CPU limited than anything else for that game and engine. Are you overclocking? It might help a bit with the drops.

To be honest a Q6600 is pretty long in the tooth these days, I still have one in my sister in laws and still have a slight over clock on hers, I used to run mine at 4 Ghz many years back when I gamed on it.

If you do not plan on rebuilding anything you're probably stuck with what you have, try overclocking it a bit like cmdrdredd suggested, but you'd need an after market cooler etc.

Thanks for the response guys, I did overclock my CPU using https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Tbscabpl0Y

Now I'm running @ 3.33Ghz. It does help a lil bit my fps doesnt drop as low as it did. 😀 Altho I ran Speedfan to monitor my computer temps seems to be heating up alot lol.. heres a screenshot of CPUZ and SPeedfan. 😵
