For the link lazy, I'm looking to replace my Diamond monster mx300 (one of the speaker ports died)

i was hoping to get a card with digital audio, but apparently i will only get 4 speaker digital output on my speakers (cambridge fps2000 digital) if i use some sort of SB Live card. since the SB's are well out of my pricerange, i'm between an Aopen Cobra and a Chaintech AV-512. both use the same sound processor.

the Aopen has DON (im guessing this is digital out), whereas the chaintech doesn't. if i can't get 4 speaker digital out though, then the DON on the aopen is moot.

didnt know, sorry. OT gets tons of views vs. the others. that's why people post software stuff in here a lot. just thought i'd take advantage of that fact.
