Need advice: winamp mp3 playlist hogging a lot of system resource

my song collection grows a lot and when I add them to winamp play list, it's slow and hogging a lot of system resource...
I have about 1000+ mp3,

looking for other mp3 software alternative with small system / memory resource usage which can handle large amount of song in the playlist...

someone told me to use musicmatch jukebox... I want to hear about fellow member advice

im curious too... When i choose add directory, it sometimes takes about a minute or two. I know there is an option you can choose to make it load titles on play (rather than when you add them to the list). Try that out.

1 or 2 minutes only
sometime my system does NOT respond and hang....

sigh....

I have over 1200

and if the whole list is newly added...i takes a few secs on load each screen
