Hi all,
Need some advice. Here's the problem: Built my Sandybridge yesterday. Used 2600k, Assus P8P67, CM hyper 212 + in a CM 690 II Adv case.
What's occuring is that my temps at idle are around 28-30c in a 68 degree faranheit room at stock. When I run P95 my temps shoot up to over 60c, had them up to 62c.
I initially thought it was my cooler install. So I redid it...5 times. I used the paste that comes with the hyper212, trying it by drawing thin lines along the interior alluminum portions between the pipes, 3 different times. Tried the credit card spread once, and finally gave up and switched to AS5 and used the "Drop the size of a grain of rice on the processor" method.
None of it has worked. Each time I end up with the temps hovering around the same area.
Anyone have any advice? Do I suck at cooler installs? Do I have a chip with no headroom?
Any thoughts are much appriciated!
