Hello Everyone,
I'd really appreciate your advice on this matter as I did some research, but I'm still a bit confused. I'm running an XFX 8600GT card on my Q6600 with 4gb of memory. I'm running dual displays, a 22.1" and a 20.1".
I use this desktop mainly for school and browsing, however, one of it's most important uses is for a radio control simulation program called RealFlight 4.0. I'm finding with my current card I'm only able to run 1280X960 resolution with good frame rates. I'd like to run a higher resolution, but my current card cannot handle it.
In todays Fry's ad, they have a EVGA 9600GTT 512MB Super Clocked Video Card for $59.99 after MIR and instant savings. As far as I can tell, this card would be ~90% faster than the one I have. Does that seem correct?
Would you recommend this upgrade or might my money be better spent on another card?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Regards,
Pete
