Need Advice on Video Cards

Was wondering if its any help to upgrade my lovely Voodoo 5 to a GF3 TI200. I had been wondering if I should wait another cycle before putting down the money to buy that new Video Card.

Currently, I'm just playing CounterStrike and Wolfenstien. With the wickedGL drivers for my voodoo5, I have no problems in gettting constant 100 FPS in CS so I doubt the GF3 can improve from that . As for Wolf, hmmmm... I can't get my resolution higher than 920X680(not clear on the setting but something close to that).

Since the GF3 TI200 are in the $125 range which is acceptable as a upgrade hehehehe... or should i get the GF4 from gateway.com for $250 ahhhh... decision decision. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I would suggest you wait until ATI releases the R250,

Because then Nvidia would release the Dentenator 5 billions and outperform ATI
by a smidge, or ATI might blow the GF4s away.

Who knows?

Since your getting like 100 fps with your voodoo 5 why dont you wait for the GF4 Ti 4200 to come out. Its suppose to retail for $199 and the performance is on par with or sometimes faster the GF3 Ti 500.

thanks for the responses guys I'll cancel my order now!!!! hehehe... itchy figures and credit cards dont mix well I'll stop visiting hot deals for awhile.

my good old voodoo5 is still the most stable video card to this date in time.
