Need advice on video card upgrade

I've been out of the loop on new products. I have an ATI Rage Fury 32mb video card. It was a sweet card a few years ago, but it's outdated now. I only have about $100 to $150 to spend. Would a Radeon VE or Geforce MX be a noticeable improvement? I mostly just game with this box. It has a PIII 733 and 384mb ram.

Yes, either of those should be better than what you have (at least the GF2MX will be). But why the Radeon VE? A Radeon LE would probably be better.

Edit: I just checked the prices on Anand's latest video card price list, and for $150 you might as well get a Radeon 64MB DDR, or a Geforce PRO. Of course, a Geforce GTS is a good card, too, and can be had for a little over $100.

KyroII or Radeon LE with the bios hacks. Gf2 PRO if you like Nvidia. Stay away from the MX (32 bit really hits this card hard).

I suggest the Radeon LE or Kyro2 over the VE and MX. A little tweaking is needed for LE to perform at retail Radeon DDR level. Kyro2 no bios or other hacks needed just make sure to have the latest driver install, and update every now and then (all video cards do this). Price LE = ~$70 and Kyro2 = ~$110. Both will give you a good performance increase over that Xpert, especially the Kyro2.

In that price range, If you want the best looking card for games, DVD, Video with no problems it is the Voodoo 5500, Under $100, If you want to see the numbers on 3DMark the others
