Hello,
I want to get a tv tuner for my computer. I have searched and searched for reviews on tv tuners, and I have narrowed down my decision to the Phoebe TV Master and the Pinnacle TV PCI card. I would like to know which card, of all of the tv tuners out there, is the best? Please keep in mind that I will NOT be doing any recording with my card. i simply want my card to watch tv while i surf the web and do my work. To me, the only two important factors are picture quality of live tv and the stability of the drivers/software. Excellent Live tv picture qualilty is certainly the most important feature to me. If anyone has any feedback, please post their thoughts here. Thanks!!

Almost bought the Pinnacle card to replace the Hauppague WinTV-Go card...settled on the Hauppague WinTV-radio instead. Supposedly (although I haven't bothered with it) the customer support is good--I like the display on both cards. Switched to the WinTV-radio to get stereo output and the IR remote (currently not supported under Win2K) <--another reason I'm about to dual boot.

I have an ATI TV Wonder VE, and for what I use it for, which is only for watching TV (not video capturing) it works GREAT. I am even running it on W2K whose drivers are still in beta. No video capturing is available in the W2K driver but I've heard that it works great under 98-ME. My brother owns a Happauge WinTV GO and he's very pleased with it as well. My advice is that if you're ONLY going to use it for watching TV then go for one of the value type cards (~$50). Oh and by the way, the ATI TV Wonder VE has this cool feature that allows you to make the TV your wallpaper...kinda cool but distracting at time...hope this helped...im out.
