Hi all,

I finally built my new system:

e6300,
gigabyte S3,
1 gig of Transcend 667MHz JetRam,
BFG 7600GT OC,
Seagate SATA 160GB HDD,
Samsung DVD Writer,
Antec TP 2.0 480W (trueblue) PSU.

First off, my cpu idles at about 55-57C and under load it goes upto 65-67C!! (Prime95 stable for 24 hours though)

These temps are after I OC'ed the rig from 1.86GHz to 2.33GHz. (There was a difference of only about two degrees in my idle and load temps before and after OC'ing)

I want to get some cooling now and I'm a little (actually a lot!) confused about my choices. A lot of the fans that I keep reading about here on the forums are not available where I'm from. However, I did see the CoolerMaster Mini Aquagate r80 for sale here and I want to know if it is a good choice. The only other option is to get an Antec CPU cooler that costs about half as much as the CM.

I need to know if this purchase will be a good one. Planning to buy it this week sometime. Also, any alternative suggestions would be welcome! The main reason for me to consider the CM Aquagate is because it is a ready-to-fit system and does not entail much of the hassle of more complex watercooling systems. (Being a total newbie, this is a BIG plus point for me!)

ps: I'm from India, where temperatures are normally quite high (about 30-32C now, in winter!) and my system runs in a non-air conditioned room. Just thought I'd put that bit of info out there as well!

Hi,

I know that the post is very similar to an earlier one of mine...Essentially my question is if any of you have used an Aquagate and if you would recommend getting one. I couldn't find anything about the Aquagate, thats why I posted. The IHS is not concave. I had that checked.
