Need advice on Content Management System

I have a website that will serve as informational for several Sunday school classes. What I would like to do is have members log in, and get information available that is pertinent to only their class (or content deemed suitable for all registered members). There will be sensitive information (such as members' names and contact information) that should not be available to everyone. Also, there should be a way for administrators to email only a particular group, and some administrators should be limited to posting content for only their group.

I have done a site in Mambo, and another in PostNuke, and as far as I can tell, these packages will not really do what I need. I would like the software to be freeware or very inexpensive. I know I could probably customize one of these packages to do what I need, but frankly I just don't have the time.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks for the suggestion, joinT. I've installed it and played with it - it looks incredibly powerful and flexible.

Unfortunately, it's pretty darned complicated also. If I ever get it figured out, I doubt I could easily train the admins I would have for each course.

Does anybody have any other suggestions? I suppose I should mention that it's a Linux/MySQL installation, though that is usually the case for most of these tools.
