Hi, I was wondering if anybody would be able to tell me the best Windows 2000 Training software there is available. I really would appreciate some help in this matter, since there are so many. I really would appreciate anything, a link, a review or personal opinions. Sincerely, Carlos!

If you're going to try and learn Windows 2000 on your own, the best software you can get is the OS itself. One copy of Advanced Server and one copy of Professional. You would want to have at least two computers at home so you can network and simulate a server/client environment. Ideally, you would have a third computer, so you could mess around with two servers (Active Directory Replication, etc).

I used the Microsoft Official Curiculum. It doesnt cover everything you need to know to pass the exams, but it really gave me a strong understanding of the very basics. Additionally, it comes with 120 day versions of the OS's which is a huge bonus if you are going to try it alone.

Transcender's are probably the biggest test simulation software. I found them very useful for the Server, Professional, Active Directory and Network Infrastructure exams, but they were useless for the Design exams.
People also use "braindumps". Don't be tempted by these. Learn your stuff. Use the braindumps as a tool, not a means to an end. Nobody wants another "braindump MCSE".

Cool, I appreciate it. I have both that you mentioned .

Edit: I have had the OS since it came out and love it. I just really want to master it now 😉

Doing the MCSE seriously is an awsome way to begin the road to 2k mastery. It is only the first of many steps though! Good Luck.

cbtnuggets.com has great videos, there are free video streams on the site (30 minute +), and they are very cheap 299$, and you can find them on ebay as well .. probably the best stuff out there for the price .. well they are worth more, compared to other cbt's that suck .. testout.com is good, but pricey .. you should atleast check out the freevideos at cbtnuggets .. good luck .. a better site to ask about this topic is Examnotes.net and Cramsession.com ..
