I'm looking to get a video card for around $100... what's the best I can get? I need it to have both analog and DVI outputs, since i'm using a crt right now and am going to get an lcd with my tax refund... after my geforce2 pro blew out on me, i've been running a tnt2 m64 for the last 4 months... god... didn't know that divx lagged! hahaha

so i want the pros and cons of geforce or radeon... please help out a fellow AT-er!!~!~!~! thanks!!!

Geforce Ti4200-4400

Geforce FX5600 Ultra (rev 2 - flip chip versions)

Radeon 9600np

Are probably the cards that would fit the $100 budget

that is a tought question as they are all respectable cards in their own right for the price. you should really look up some reviews on the three and see which one suits your needs best.

ASUS 9600SE, good card, good reviews, VGA, DVI, s-video. No passive cooling either, it uses a fan. Card outperforms the geforce fx 5200 ultra. This is just a dulled down version of the 9600 XT.

Dulled down is a tremendous understatment. Try completely crippled. And outperforming a 5200 is not at all impressive.
