Hello Guys,

I could use some advice on what's a good TV Tuner out there for under $100. I'm looking to add that to my system without replacing my current video card. My limited understanding is that there's PCI cards out there that don't serve as your video card....

This is something that you can plug your cable into and watch TV shows through your PC (even record them if so inclined)?

Thanks

I have that Leadtek TV2000XP card and love it. It's one of my favorite computer part purchase. I highly recommend it.

I have the Asus model and I've loved it.

It's also got a 10-bit chip on it so the quality is a little better than the Leadtek.

You should get something that has the Philips (7134?) chipset on, not the old Conexant BT878. This because it has better sampling quality and stereo audio builtin.
Prices start at around $50.

I've got it... Good card, the software is kinda iffy. But HDTV rules.

This is great, guys. If anyone else has comments or a favorite card, please post! I'm probably not going to buy one for another week or two.....

That HDTV model, the website had referenced only 2 video cards (ATI Radeon 9000 + or nVidia GF4 MX440 video card)...okay, 9000+ = many more than 2 video cards.....I have a FX5700U, anybody think that'll be a problem?

Another vote for the ASUS, excellent video quality, and a very useable remote.

Peace

I have a 19" Viewsonic G90fb. Sounds like a serious gander at the ASUS may be in order.....(well, in addition to the others). Can't say that I'm too interested in spending $200 for the HDTV version that a few people highly recommended!!
