Need advice on a replacement MB!

My roommate stumbled in the other night and accidentally crushed the memory on my computer and ruined the MB. I was working on it and forgot to put it up. Anyway, he's replacing it but I wasn't that satisfied with my Abit KG-7 and want to know if there is a better one I should consider. Any suggestions? I had heard good things about the Epox with the new VIA chipset.
