Have setup my HTPC in a Silverstone Lascala LC-13 case and am experiencing temp issues on the northbridge. I love the case but its a bit tight in there and design doesnt promote good circulation. The mobo is an Abit AT8 and I have replaced the stock passive hs on the northbridge with a zallman passive NB4J but it didn't help much. I don't want to add another fan cause I want to limit noise.
I was thinking about replacing the cpu hsf with one than forces air down and around all surrounding area. I am currently using a Thermaltake silent boost which fits nicely but doesn't cool the area around around the CPU well. The dimension of the new hs shouldn't be greater that 92mm x 92mm because its already crammed in there.
Any ideas?
