Greetings everyone.

Well, the time has come for me to upgrade my current video card to one of the new, slick, sweet looking Geforce 4 cards.

However, i'm looking for a particular one that will fill my needs. I'm asking for everyones opinion here in hopes of narrowing down my search for my new video card.

What I want:

Very good Geforce 4 card that can handle graphics (but of course) I'm going to be running games like WarCraft III and eventually Doom 3.
128mb RAM is ideal.

What I dont need:
A TV out expansion
Anything related to DVD

I really just need a sweet card with the basics and no frills extras (like the TV out and DVD stuff)

Soooo, If anyone out there can recommend a certain card, please do so. Also, a good place to locate the new beautiful card at a sweet price is also welcome. :)

Thanks everyone.

Drink you morning Brew!!!

Thanks guys for the update.

I've narrowed it down to the Prolink card and the Gainward care.

however, I cant seem to locate a place that sells either of these two cards.

Any suggested places to look?

Thanks guys,

Hey guys, thanks again. I just had a thought.

Would it be better/wise to move up to the 4400 series? Is there a big price difference? I'm a gamer, but I wouldn't consider myself a 'hardcore' gamer.

Thanks again dudes.

Nah, the 4200 will serve you nicely, and if you find you do need a bit more oomph, just overclock it some. ;)

I think im going to go with the Gainword card. Here are the specs:

Gainward Geforce4 PowerPack ! Ultra/650 TV Golden Sample. (Its listed for $173 at newegg.com)
Model#GF4TI4200Ultra/650TV
No TV-in or DVI which is fine as I do not need that.

What do you think? Good price, good card?

Thanks guys.
