Story
Friend has a lease vehicle that ends soon. He filed for bankruptcy due to a divorce etc etc etc. So his credit score is ok; he makes all the payments. But having that bankruptcy is a hugh defect on his attempt to get any type of loan.

The honda dealer said this is the best they could do

Lower it about a grand more. @ 7.5% (pretty good with a bnkrptcy on file)

The high miles really wear me, Especially at the price.
What do you guys think?

Definitely a lot of miles for the price. Would he be better off getting a cheaper car and paying cash, or is that not an option?

No; definitely have to finance, but probably not this car. It really does suck when you have bankruptcy on file; his credit score is already around 670, but that doesn't matter. He's never missed a payment on his lease; but miles are almost to the limit and needs to be turned in early; needs something more economical and eco friendly.

He might just have to wait till the end of the lease and pay the overage and hopefully credit score will be way higher

and edit: I looked at other altima's, definite rip off and plus I heard cvt's aren't the most reliable, esp something that old with that mileage.

I wouldn't bank on that...bankruptcy stays for a while. I do not recall the actual years.

If he can haggle that car down a few grand, get it...otherwise he's stuck.

I test drove it; they would lower it to 7 grand...well check engine light on; oil light was flashing. Also needed an allignment BADLY; umm what else...ohh the transmission shifted weird; not smooth at all in first but thereafter was fine.

Definite NO; would pay most at 4000 for that piece of shit.

They did have a 2005 g6 with 30,000 MILES. Still baffled how low that is. Asking 12900 tho. O well, we'll keep searching.

Are you able to turn in a lease vehicle to another honda dealership?
