I'm a networking noob, so all you experienced folks, please help.
I am running Win XP Pro and using SBC DSL. I am trying to set up a simple, wired network with 2 PCs and one laptop with a Belkin router. Everything's working when I'm running the DSL straight through on the main PC. However, when I (following all directions =P) hook up the router to the DSL modem, it's not maintaining any connection. It still blinks to indicate that it is trying to pick up the DSL modem. The router works, that is the LEDs are blinking and picking up the connection to the PC, but it is not picking up the DSL modem/source connection. My questions:
1. Are there particular settings I should enable/disable when adding the router?
2. Is the original DSL connection preventing the addition of the router?
3. What should I be doing?
Thanks in advance...
