Tomorrow I have an interview with Cordis and wednesday another interview with Bellsouth.
Anyone have experiences with phone interviews?
I need to know how should I answer, what to say, etc .

In Co-op 101 at school, they told us to dress up for the interview, even though they cant see you. It makes you feel as if they are looking at you. or something like that. so basically wear what you would wear to an interview when you answer the phone.

The only advice I can give is the following...

At the end of the interview, the interviewer usually asks if you have any questions. Try to have a list of 3-4 questions that you would like to ask. Obviously, try to stay away from questions concerning salary. This basically tells the employer that you are serious, and are interested in their company.

Also, you are going to want to look up on the history of the company, this also shows them that you care.

Good luck on your interviews! :)

Don't be posting to ATOT during the interview.

Turn off the TV

Turn off the radio.

Have your resume in front of you.

Have a list of questions in front of you.
(more questions than you are likely going to get to ask)

Be confident - know that you are the man for the job.

kick ass and take names.

You may want to have a list of notes on hand just in case. Also, be yourself, be pleasant, and be confident, but not aloof or snobby.

Good luck. :)

Turn off the TV

That includes the VCR, ReplayTV, TiVo, Satellite Dish, Cable, and DVD playing the pr0n DVDs I let you borrow last week.

don't use a cell or cordless phone.

try to keep others away from you, you may be more forward when others aren't listening.

Do your research on both companies, have some info in front of you as well.

What do they make?
How do they market it?
What products are they developing?
What is the company's culture like?
Are they a leader or a follower?
Who are the top execs?
etc...

You need to have a donkey braying loudly in the background. Don't explain what it is.

cordless phone

I've done several job interviews on my cordless phone. No problems so far.

- Wear what's comfortable. I wore shorts and a t-shirt during the interview for my current job.
- Make a list of questions to ask.
- Make a list of your strengths and weaknesses
- Have a pad beside you so that you can take notes.

Make sure to follow up with the interview if your interested in the job.

Good luck.
