Well I'm thinking about purchasing the following for my new build and before I order I was wondering if there will be any issues with the components at all.

AMD Opteron UP 146 (Socket 939)
DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D
GeIL ONE 1GB (2x512MB) PC3200 TCCD CAS1.5 (GeIL ONE 1GB (2x512MB) PC3200 BH5 CAS1.5 [Changed from])
BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC 256MB
Antec P180
Seasonic S12 600W Silent ATX2.0 (Tagan TG580-U15 580W Modular ATX2.01 [Changed from])
Western Digital Raptor 74GB
Zalman CNPS9500-LED CPU Cooler

I am pretty confident that all of these parts will work perfectly together, but since this is my first build I would also rather have some opinions of people who have built similar rigs.
One of my major concerns is do you think the PSU cables will be long enough to reach everything? and also will the CPU cooler block/obstruct anything?

Any advice/criticism is greatly appreciated :)

PS If anyone is wondering I will be overclocking it as you could probably tell by the parts ;)

pretty interesting choice on a 146, i read somewhere that it was overclocked to 3ghz stable on 300*10 @ 1.45v, 48 celsius after a run through super pi. im pretty sure the cooling equipment was high-end,though. this thing wont be out until late november, is it not? And for the psu, dont get modular if you're overclocking, even if you're not. they have higher risk to fail than uninterrupted wired units.

They just came in stock today at my retailer. I choose it because it can clock up to 2,6-2,8 Ghz almost guaranteed on air. Also they are at venice 3000+/3200+ prices but with an extra 512kb cache. (If it can clock past 2,6ghz i will have a VERY cheap FX55/FX57 :D). I am also thinking on a 144 I'm just waiting to see what steppings they are before I make my final choice.

Edit: forgot to mention it is rumored that these opterons are just re-labeled FX57 cores with lower clocks so u are almost guaranteed to hit 2,8Ghz while overclocking with the right cooling (also may be limited due to the stepping).

Nobody is saying anything because we're all jealous about the whole "FX-57 for the price of a 3000+" thing.

And yeah, where did you find the 144/146? I searched a bit awhile ago, but couldn't find anywhere that still had them.

Well the place im getting it from is http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ Since i live in the Uk, but i have no clue whether they ship worldwide, but im pretty sure that they dont. Although it may not really be worth it since PC components are more expensive over here and you would also have to pay extra for the shipping. So you might just have to wait until the places you looked at get a new batch in.
