I'm moving into a house in Valrico end of the month and wanted to know
if anyone has Direct TV or Dish and if they recommend it over Timer Warner cable or not. Same for Verizon's DSL in the area over Time Warner's RoadRunner. I realize this may be a long shot but would appreciate any honest inputs.

Thanks!

Satellite TV is generally with a better picture quality than cable -- even most digital cable. However, when getting cable tv, you are usually given a break on the cable modem, so that's a nice bonus. I have satellite TV and DSL and couldn't be happier.

Umm...well where I live (philly), I plan on getting satellite because I had cable but my parents cancelled it (I went to college). Anyway, cable in the city is 44/month and directv is 31/month. So I plan on buying a satellite dish and activating the service every time I come home for summer vacation. I guess it all depends on how well the cable service is down there.

Here is my opinion.

1. Cable/DSL both fast
2. Cable is shared bandwidth
3. DSL is not shared bandwidth (Been around DSL since 1998)
4. Satellite every channel is digital
5. Most digital cable channels are digital

I would chose DSL internet and Satellite TV.
