Just had a baby and the house is getting small in a hurry. I have to move my office to the family room where we have a TV. Because of the size/shape of the room, the CRT for the computer will have to occupy the same general area as the TV. Since two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time, I have a problem. My idea is to buy a flatscreen TV and eventually a computer monitor -- both of these should have no problem being "together"... When its time to watch TV, I'll just push a "little" computer LCD out of the way soo we can see the flat screen. Or... is there a way to watch TV on a computer screen? Any ideas with what to do here?
I would like to have at least a 27" screen for TV and a pixel res of 1280 x 1024 max on a computer screen (gotta keep the pixel pushing minimized to keep up the fps). Flatscreen technology seems too expensive at around 6K. I'm waiting for 27" technology to be about 1500 for a FSTV... Anyone guess when this may happen. Any advice based on the above? Is my problem solvable?
