So I see a car I have been looking for a long time at a fan base web-site. Hes asking about $1000 less than KBB which I think is still high but it’s the color and everything I want, its AWWWESOME.
So I e-mail him and talk about the car. Well I decide I want it and have to have it. So I tell him I am going to fly out and pick it up.
Now the weird part. He starts telling me about clubs for people that enjoy these types of cars in his area. He said we could drive the car for a test drive to the greasypole or the manhole bar, 2 he said are his favorite. I ignored that as it seems a little fishy and I was mostly worried this guy will rob me, let alone this other issue now. He even said he would buy drinks and I could sleep on his “couch” before my long drive back. He put couch in quotes so not sure what that meant? :\
So should I be worried about being robbed or worse? It really hard to find a good yellow VW so I really want it.
